The Acts 1:8 Challenge

Sequoia Church has accepted the challenge from the Lord in Matthew 28:18-19 to go into all the world and make disciples. Jesus commands us to "be witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Sequoia is obeying this command with a balanced approach to missions. We see our “Jerusalem” as Manteca, where we live. We see our "Judea" as California and our "Samaria" as the United States, Canada and Mexico. We interpret the "ends of the earth" in this passage as international missions.

Donnie and Juanita Land are the missions coordinators at Sequoia. They work with the pastors and a team who is interested in sharing the Gospel to recommend mission activities for Sequoia. The team does promotions, scheduling and arrangements for mission trips from local to international.
