How long is the Worship Service?
Our service lasts about 75 minutes. We begin at 10:00am and usually end around 11:15am.
What should I wear?
Honestly…it doesn’t really matter. We have people who wear shorts and t-shirts, polos, jeans, business casual, dresses or skirts, you may even see a bow tie or two from time to time! You will fit in no matter what you choose to wear.
What Happens During the Service?
Singing: We love to sing to the Lord together! We seek to choose songs that the whole church can participate in singing together. Our goal in singing is both to honor the Lord and to help us remember biblical truth about who our God is.
Memorization: We work as a church to memorize one verse together each month. This is a short but fruitful time each week working to hide God’s Word in our hearts and to conform our minds to the Scripture.
Prayer: Each week, someone leads the congregation in praying to God. The congregation prays individually and silently during a directed prayer time. If you would like someone to pray with you there is a prayer room straight across from the main doors that will be open following the service and there will be someone there who can pray with you.
Teaching: The Bible is central to everything that we do as a church. Every week a pastor will read from the Bible, explain what it means, and then help us put what we have learned into practice. All of our teaching points to the main message of the Bible which is God providing salvation to sinners through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ!
Giving: During each Sunday service we give our people the opportunity to give as an act of worship to God. If you are a guest, please do not feel obligated to give. Our offering is for those who have made Sequoia their church home.
Do you have Sunday Morning Bible Study?
Yes! From 8:45-9:45am we have bible study classes for all ages. Babies, Children, Youth, and Adults all have the opportunity to be involved in Bible Study. For class locations please come to the Welcome Table when you arrive.

We are located on the southeast corner of Wawona Avenue and South Union road in Manteca, California. Take the North Union road offramp from Highway 120. Sequoia is about 1/4 mile north of the Highway on the east side of Union road at Wawona.
