Dear Church Family

August? Where did July go? I am excited about what God has been doing this summer. At this writing we are planning to baptize 7 people whom God saved and who want to live for Jesus. This is a direct result of the ministries of our children and youth. Keep praying and loving on people.

It will be great starting a new church year. Kids and families are home from vacations and looking forward to school and church activities. The youth have one last summer boredom bash; we have a fun day July 28 celebrating all that God has done this summer. And we are finishing up our teaching on 1 Thessalonians. I have gathered so much from this study. If you missed one of the lessons, go to our website and listen to it. Then apply it to your day. I am encouraged at what God continues to teach us through His Word. It is able to instruct us in the ways of God and how we should live today. It is never out dated! Only God can do that

Just an idea. If you live in an area with some new folks why not try sponsoring a National Night Out get together in your driveway? These are real opportunities to get to know some of your neighbors. You can register it through the City of Manteca, and you can even request the Police, Fire Dept, or Mayor to show up. National Night Out is the First Tuesday of August: August 6th.

Sign up for Adult Bible Studies Sunday AM. I believe everyone needs Bible Study. This is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills, encourage each other, and enjoy Christian fellowship. Studies begin at 8:45 each Sunday.

Lastly, pray for our brothers and sisters in our church with health needs. God is their strength and they are relying on Him. Hold them up and encourage them. If you do not know people in need--go through your directory and just begin to pray for anyone and everyone. Amen!

See you Sunday!
